Frontline
A few days ago I bought some Frontline for my 3 cats and put it on (the
cats). Here it is 4 days later and if I push a flea comb through the fur of any of them, I come up with several live fleas each time. Even at the area where the Frontline was applied there are living fleas. Is this what can normally be expected? After all the pushing of the product be my vet, I thought I could expect it to kill all the fleas. JWR |

It kills them, but if your cats HAD fleas, so does your house. It will kill the fleas on the cats, but not in the home. Live fleas will die soon after contacting the cats, but not right away. You need to treat the home; the bedding, the carpet, the furniture, your clothing, everything. Also, IIRC, Frontline may not kill flea larvae. Check the packaging, as I use Advantage on my one kitty who goes out, so I'm not sure. ------------------------------------------------- ~kaeli~ Press any key to continue or any other key to quit. I have used Advantage on my cats, and it has eliminated fleas within a few
days for me. It's more expensive than the store brands, but I have never been successful than the store brands. Advantage is well worth the money- ask your vet about trying this. And it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion about your cat's hair loss. Just like our doctors, sometimes one vet will overlook something that another will catch. Good luck with the flea problem as I know how miserable it can be! wrote in message ... A few days ago I bought some Frontline for my 3 cats and put it on (the cats). Honestly, I never had much luck with Frontline, be it from the droppers or the spray bottle. Less with the spray bottle - all of our cats associate that with the extreme discomfort of being sprayed for something they did wrong. I say stick with Advantage. -- Dennis Carr - | I may be out of my mind, http://www.dennis.furtopia.org | But I have more fun that way. ------------------------------------+------------------------------- |
