Tiger's voice
Normally when Tiger meows it is almost silent. I know he can make a
sound when he wants to. Last week during several vet trips (for antibiotic shots) he spoke up loud and clear. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44° 15' N - Elevation 1580') |

He is normally a very quiet cat, but save his loudest at the vet. At least he is more quiet now on the way there. Winnie |

Sonny always sings opera on the way to the vet, but is always silent on the way back home. Bobble Our Sam was always silent on the way home from a vet stay. Because he would yowl (Siamese - thank you) from the time we left the house until he completely lost his voice. He wasn't as upset as you might think, just an extremely vocal cat and really wanted to let them know what he thought. They said they usually had to listen to him for about three days before his meow turned silent. It would take three or four days at home for him to get back in full voice. Jo |

When we're at home and she just wants to say hello, or get some food, etc, she'll open her mouth and and almost nothing will come out - maybe a little tiny "eep". But yep, just like you said - when we're on the way to the vet, she suddenly seems to find her voice, and it sounds quite normal. -- Joyce ^..^ To email me, remove the XXX from my user name. |

Which is odd because his foster mom that rescued him named him Boomer. apparently when he was a kitten he had a LOUD meow. Now...Hardly meows...ever. Sometimes when they are all in the zoomie mode, i'll hear a meow that I KNOW is not Mischief or Mayhem. The only time i've heard him audibly........when its bathtime. Every time i've given him a bath, he'll let out at least one mournful yowl. But he is sooooo silent, i call him my big black panther. Kristi |
