Default Another jolly afternoon

Cycling about the lanes of rural Norfolk.

I nagged, I mean I *encouraged*, Nathan & Vernon to take an hour out of their
busy schedules and come for a pootle about the lanes. Did the Beeston, Litcham,
Mileham, Stanfield, Longham, home thing again, as a roundabout way of going to
the post office in Litcham to post a letter. Very pleasant. I got pins &
needles in my right foot by Stanfield, so I pulled in to the side. As I was
wiggling my foot about, Vernon said, "You are being watched." I looked up and
in the field next to us was a feral cat sunning itself on an old bale of straw.
It had its gaze fixed on the mad woman in fluorescent yellow jacket and
raspberry pink helmet who was hopping about at the side of the road, making all
sorts of strange "Ooh!" and "Aaagh!" sounds. I must have hopped a bit too close
as it ran off. Heaven knows what it's going to be telling its feline friends
about what it saw ;-)

Cheers, helen s
