This might be premature, but Nancy (my wife) has learned of a job that
she's decided to apply for. It's close by, a *real* job instead of that
contract nonsense she worked at ESRI, and it's in a field she has a lot
of experience in and enjoys working in.

The power of purrs shows itself once again! Nancy got the call today.
She has to go in for the drug test Friday, then she starts the job next
week.

Ya-hoo!

Some people consider it a real violation of their civil rights. (of course some
people consider everything a violation to their civil rights
My DH's work does "surprise random"" drug testing. They pick out at random
employees to test. That doesn't bother me, because it is an industrial setting,
and someone on drugs might do something unsafe and could cause my DH to get
hurt.
But what does bother me is that they passed a rule in Oct that they can't
smoke in or anywhere on the grounds of the plant. or you're fired,
automatically. Doesn't bother him, since he doesn't smoke anyway. It just
seems excessive that you can get caught on crack cocaine or meth or something
and it bears the same punishment as smoking a cigaraette?

AWESOME!!! Dan, give the owners some treats for us and hug Nancy. We
may have sent purrs and job thoughts, but Nancy got the job.
