Question for all
There seems to be quite a lot of talent in this community. Have any of you
ever been published? Book, poem, short story etc? |

O.T. Question for all

I just received a rejection slip for the three poems that I submitted to this year's OASIS publication. I don't feel too badly, because a friend who is truely an exceptional poet also had her work rejected. We decided that we were in good company. I have an Honorable mention in my old Junior college creative writing booklet, from MA-NY years ago. Then I self published and copyrighted my "Memories Revisited" book for my daughters and grandchildren, brother, self and Library of Congress. I belong to the Calif Writers Club, along with my husband who's poetry has been published in several local venues. Otherwise I'm juat little ol me, she said humbly. Sylvia |

I have written articles on gaming, bridge, poker and baseball for magazines. I had some poetry in magazines years ago and poetry.often includes one of my poems in their annual printed book, although I don't think I submitted anything this year. My greatest work was my collaboration with the late great Feather called _Poker for Cats_ It attracted some interest from a publisher but it was never finished. Question for all
Well, as for myself, I submitted some stuff to poerty.com. Was supposed to
be a contest but, for the last three years, they have been trying to get me to buy a book in which the works will be published. Ahh, what kind of contest is that? Well, they publish the winners whether you buy the book or not. And there are some small cash prizes, although most of the "winners" don't get one. I never bought the book and I was able to keep my mom from buying one, although it was a struggle. It was fun because I felt like writing the poems in the first place and their website is as good a place to keep them as any. Will in New Haven -- "Hunting is hunting and breeding is breeding. Question for all
Well, I like to read what others have written even if it isn't something I
usually read. So, is there a place on the net I can find something of what you have done? I found some of the Poker for cats and even though I watch Texas Holdem on TV, I don't really get the game it was interesting to see how he put it all together; Gramby Me" wrote in message ... Question for all
At least the $10 entrance fee for the Oasis contest includes a
copy of the edition, and I have seen some enough to know that they have a lot of good writing of all kinds. Sylvia Granby wrote: Well, as for myself, I submitted some stuff to poerty.com. these sites. Oh hell, fact is, am nearly blind so, could you tell me what I have to punch, press, sing a song to or whatever to find what you submitted, would really like to read it.
