Default New Mommy!!

I promised Pooh when she crossed over that I find another kitty (via
rescue). Pooh loved her home and she knew that another kitty saved was one
less feline outside in cold weather, with no food, little to eat and hardly
a place to keep her warm.

So, here's a guy named Alex. He refuses to neuter/spay his cats. He says
it's not fair to alter them (I'd like to alter him!!!)

I'm really excited!! A new baby Siamese!! My girlfriend is taking one
also, so we'll have siblings to place with. The hardest thing is going to
get used to them. I will use my large dog crate (my departed Basset Hound
used it. Until kitty gets acclimated, he'll be safe in there for a few
nights.

Now here's the question: Names? I don't know if kitty is a boy or a girl.
I got so excited I forgot to ask. Here's some I really love: (Help me out
here)!!

Diamond
Sushi

If you wait until gender is known, you could go with names from The Mikado
(Okay, I know these are Japanese, or pseudo-Japanese, but they could still
work):

For a boy:

Nanki Poo
Koko
Pish Tush
Mikado (if he seems the 'rule the roost' type)
Pooh Bah

For a girl:

Pitty Sing
Yum-Yum

My sister got two Siamese cats many years ago, and named them Jose and Pedro.

And here, Joy thought Japanese names might be too far afield.

I guess anything goes when it comes to naming cats. ;-)

I really like the appearance of some of the oriental cats so congratulations
on getting a Siamese.
I would not name it Sushi, as that is Japanese but if you like the name go
for it.
Siam is the old name for Thailand so you might consider giving him or her a
Thai name.
I'm not the best person to ask about cat naming, given the name of my own
cat though.

My suggestion is to turn the kitten upside down and look before you
name it. :-)
