Default Update from Dave G

Dave & Dot G. are currently travelling around the USA.

here's an update from them. The original had pictures attached, which I'll
be happy to forward to anyone who asks.

(his e-mail is still dave at netconnect dot com with au at the end)

Hi,
We are back with my parents.

Tornado warnings seem to be a part of life here during the spring. My father
has said that we are to go to the basement and not worry about them. If
something happens, they will go into the bathroom that is off their bedroom.

The weather is great here. Cape Weather is very nice. The weather up in
Vermont was really cold and we had frost on the windscreen of the car on
Sunday when we left.

I don't know if I mentioned but we drove from Newark to upper Vermont and
back again. A 8 hour drive. We had rented a Suburu Legacy that was a nice
car to drive but small. Hard to get into if your clothes were the slightest
bit sticky.

The houses and barns and everything here are designed for snow! I mean in a
big way. Look at the roofs and the covered bridge. There are lots of such
bridges around here.

The windows are all special glass that have lots of insulation and set up to
gather as much passive heat as possible. Not worried about air conditioning
but rather the lack of heat.

What got me on the drive up and back were all the road signs warning about
deer, Moose, and bears. Hitting one of those could ruin your whole day.

This is dot: although it is great being over here ---- I will be happy to
come home!
And thank you for all the stuff you are doing for us, we appreciate it.
What has the weather being like?
dave and Dot (who is missing Horsham and her dogs).
