Default She won't eat the cat grass!

I bought a special pot of cat grass for Persia and it's about 5 inches tall
now. She has sniffed at it but she won't eat it. I'm not sure if this is
because she knows not to eat my other couple of houseplants and thinks
she'll get in trouble if she does or maybe she just doesn't like cat grass.
I'll give it another few days and then if she doesn't like it I'll toss it,
I guess.

I grew cat grass for Rusty so he won't eat my house plants. But he won't
eat the cat grass and still goes after my plants. So now I am down to only 3
plants.

Have you put it near her food dish?

I got a very nice pot of daffodils for Easter, but Doc tried to eat them
the minute I brought them through the door. Yesterday he managed to
climb all the way up to the high shelf I'd put them on, so I took them
out and gave them to my neighbor, a great gardener. He doesn't speak
English, though, so I went to babelfish to find the Spanish for 'These
are for you. With me, they die, with you, they live.' :-)

It would be a shame to toss ... any chance a neighbor or a local
shelter could make use of it?

By the way, Oscar doesn't eat her cat grass, but she does get quite
interested in it sometimes. I think, much like any other "toy" (all
the world's a toy to a cat), sometimes they will ignore something for
quite a while, even months, and then all of a sudden they can't live
without it.

Don't be hasty -- she could suddenly change her mind. Did you pick a
stem and hold it by her mouth? Try it a few times. Does she prefer
catnip? MLB

Take scissors and trim the tips of it before you give up on it. It will
release some of the scent.

Try breaking off some of the tips of the grass, it will probably have
a stronger smell. That's how I get my cats interested in cat grass when
they've gotten bored with it.

I have one who grazes on it, one who throws it up, and two who ignore
it.

You could try putting it out in her kittywalk with her so she is clear it's
not a houseplant. Just an idea.

I trimmed a bit and put some on her crackle sack. She rolled around on it
and then ate it. She still hasn't figured out it's the same stuff in the
pot on the window-sill, but she's not stupid. She will figure it out
