Happy Feet OT
Recently the wholeof New Zealand has been watching the progress of Happy
Feet, the lost Emperor Penguin. I have posted a little about Happy Feet on my Facebookpage but this is for those who haven't seen it there. HF was nursed back to health and is to be released into the southern ocean in the next few days. You can read all about him on Happy Feet, at Google. It is a wonderful story and I can only hope that he will make it back to antartica. I will be watching him on the tracking site as he has had a tracking device attached to his feathers. It will drop off in a few months when he maults. The tracking site is www.howfarsouth.org and will only be activated when he hits the water in a day or so. Bev |

Bev - - - - - - - - - - - I have been reading about Happy Feet for some time. Coincidentally, I Googled earlier today to see if I could see anything about his progress. I was also in New Zealand in January, and I loved it. We spent several days in Christchurch, and I was distressed to read about the earthquake just a few weeks later. MaryL |
