I guess I misread, I thought you said same pay. But still until the goose
lays a golden egg, it is a job and that is important right now. Unless, you
have something else close at hand, another offer.

Possibly same pay it's in the same band but if they put me on lower points
then it is less money or if they put me on higher points then it's more. I do
have a job and it's not that bad for all I moan about it my main problem is I
get bored with those days (most of them) where the only thing I do is audio
typing and the new job is pretty much all audio typing- not even a sniff of
PA work- maybe some meetings to organise

I just applied for another job, more money even nearer home so I guess that
tells me how un frilled I am but they were very nice people and if I have to
let them down then I guess I only have a day or two to do it in

I'm now leaning towards staying where I am depending on whether the new place
offers me more money or not- certainly if they offer me less than I have to
stay where I am but I am still thinking it over. My boss just gave me yet
another of her patronising calls- she does this and suddenly I am thinking
"At least the other lot seem to think I am wonderful whereas she seems to
think I'm a bit backward"

As one friend said last night "Go for it, if you were happy where you are you
wouldn't have applied in the first place"

Yes but the new peoplw are so nice I wouldn't want to take the job in the
full knowledge that it isn't quite what I want and as soon as I start I'll be
planning my next move
