Last year, I recall some people got seriously injured over some 5 a.m.
Friday "doorbuster" deals. There was some discussion that the store (I
think it was Wal Mart) would not continue the tradition of doorbuster
deals, and instead offer sale prices at different increments of time
throughout the day. From what I can tell, there hasn't been any change
since last year.
I don't get it. I really don't. That's comparable to a cattle stampede.
Heck, people aren't that different from cows in the "herd mentality"
respect sometimes.

And why should they be, when their main dietary staple for generations has
been beef and milk?

Just buy online like I do. You never have to leave the house

I worked retail back in the late 1970's. Back then it was odd that we
stayed open until 10PM and opened an hour earlier (9AM) over the holidays.
And, we were open on Sunday (gasp!) from 1-6. Back then people were
actually allowed to have a life. And we didn't have "limited time sales".
But the day after U.S. Thanksgiving was always a fiasco.

When I celebrated Christmas I made it a point to get my shopping done before
the end of October. People thought I was nuts, but then again, they've
never worked in a Mall.

And Dad wonders why I won't apply at WalMart...

Yeah, you could be a greeter!
You get to wear a trashbag as a uniform. (this saves walmart money)
That'll look good with your lipstick and higheels.
