Default You're supposed to put it on *Your* back

I have been having back pain, probably from degenerative disk
disorder. I get this periodically and let it get so bad that I can't
move and OTC medication won't take the pain away before I call my
doctor. I've been going to work every day but coming home and going
right to bed. Finally, yesterday I called my doctor and asked for
medication and left work early. I stopped by the pharmacy and picked
up my muscle relaxant and a couple of boxes of the Thermacare
Heatwraps that provide about 8 hours of heat therapy when opened. I'm
sure you know what I'm talking about. Finally this evening I got up
and came into the family room to watch the game and sit on the couch.
A little while ago DH looked over here and saw me adjust my heatwrap
against my leg and said, "You're supposed to put that on your back,
honey" I pointed to Barnabus who was lying against the heatwrap and
said, "I'm letting Barnabus get warm." DH just rolled his eyes and
grinned before muttering something about mamma's boy.

Julie,
Ask your doctor about an inversion table. I say ask the doctor
because you are not supposed to use one if you have some medical
conditions such as glaucoma or are pregnant. Anyway, if your doctor
says you don't have any reason not to use one, go to a place that
sells such things and try it out. You may find that you get instant
relief as it de-compresses your spine.

We got one for Jim before he had his surgery, and the results are
amazing. He still uses it from time to time. You don't have to use
as much of a slant as he does. He takes it to where he is hanging
upside down. Rosie loves it when he does that because she can sashay
back and forth and tickle his nose with her tail.

Best wishes for some relief from the pain.

Annie
