Okay, all cats are weird. Buffy absolutely *hates* it if I watch
videos on the computer. She'll snap right out of a sound sleep and come
running. She starts trying to climb up the back of my chair to get my
attention.

Oddly, she does not even notice if I turn on the television. I don't
know what the difference is to her. My watching anything online really
bugs her. Things that make you go "Hmmmm."

Your computer might emit sound in the 20-50 Khz range,
which you cannot hear, but the cat can, and might hate it.
As a child (1950-60)I could hear the 15khz line frequency from tv,
and that was very irritating. Now I dont hear 6Khz and above......
Try listening on a headphone to see if Buffy still objects.

I wondered if it might be something like that. I don't have any
headphones so I can't test the theory.

Somewhere, on a newsgroup not accessible to us, Buffy is posting "Meowmie Jill is so bizarre."

Yep, it's available to cats everywhere. Sponsored by the Mothership.
