Default Cleo is out of her dental

I just spoke to the vet. Her pre-anesthesia blood tests looked fine, so
he went ahead with the procedure. He found a lot of plaque and tartar but
no rotten teeth. She is now conscious again, but still groggy. She will
be able to come home tomorrow after 9:00 AM.

Some purrs for her to make it safely through the night would be
appreciated, but the major hurdle is now past. Thanks for the purrs so
far!

Many more recovery purrs en-route. Is the surgery manned 24 hours? If
not, it might be better for her to be home tonight for you to keep an
eye on her.

Hooray!! Purrs for her to recover quickly. I totally understand your
anxiety, and you must be so relieved that she's OK.

Purrs, of course! She'll be fine. Glad she didn't have to have any teeth
pulled

Lots of purrs. Why do they keep her overnight? Is it because of her age?

I am very glad to hear that Cleo is awake after her anesthesia!

No bad teeth needing extractions! Extra good news!

I'm sure she will be just fine tonight, but I'm still sending purrs for
Cleo to be back to her usual self when you pick her up.

I know how upset I was when Kenzie had her dental this summer.

Yep. The vet wants to keep an eye on her overnight to be sure she
doesn't have an adverse reaction to the anesthesia. They take extra
precautions with elderly kitties.

So, that means she could have a bad reaction even though she has already
come out of it? I didn't know that was also a risk.

Wow, Dan, I bet you're relieved! I'm really glad she didn't have any bad
teeth - many purrs for her to have a safe night and return home.

Such reactions after coming out of anesthesia are rare, but not unknown.
