Memories: Persia and the Acorn Squash

Persia was always curious about the groceries I brought home. Anything
in bags must be investigated.

One day I brought home a couple of acorn squash. I set the bag down on
the kitchen floor. Of course she had to poke her nose in there, just in
case it was something for her.

Hmmm, what are those things? She reached out and tapped one. It moved!
She batted at it. It made the other one move. Next thing I knew she
was doing battle with the acorn squash.

The squash must have been such good fun, I take it Persia won the battle.

Well... I did actually bake the acorn squash but for a while Persia had
fun with them.
