Shamrock's first allergy shot

I received the serums today. He just got his first shot and he'll get
one every other day for the first 25 days for the build-up period,
then it goes to once a week with the maintenance serum. He's pretty
used to injections since he's had to have regular depo shots to keep
the allergy reactions down. He did ok with me giving the shot. I've
been building him up to this for the last two weeks by massaging his
back and "pulling a tent" to get him used to having me do this. He
barely noticed the injection.

The insert says that some cats find relief with hyposensitization
injections anywhere between 3-6 months. With some cats it could take
a year.

Thanks Candace. I have to say I was nervous. I've done a few
injections before, but it was with Shadow and he fought me whenever
I tried to "pull a tent" because he knew what was coming. It was
just awful.
