Default Morning after pill

I wonder if there are alternatives to neuturing, like birth control for
the females cats. Then the males could get thier groove on without us
having to worry about the population.

This could work for a pet, I realize a homeless cat would miss too many
pills.

Im just kind of using this as a sounding board, kind of thinking
outloud that's all.

A pill disguised as a tasty cat treat, could help in reducing the
population. If humans can do this, and it does work, I know it can be
made for cats.

Of course the ongoing cost of these pills would ultimately cost more
than surgury, although...for example, I read a post on her, a lady was
feeding strays but could not catch all of them.

Feeble at worst, but supportive of the goal, to reduce and eliminate
homeless sickly cats.

Just like pennies, some people scatter them about their homes, in their
car consoles...I save them, them little brown fellas ad up. In the same
way, enough people across the country, slipping birth control to enough
cats, this could help humans catch up with the problem. I don't think
this is a stand alone solution, it's just a penny idea.

Isn't there a birth control pill specifically for cats who are not
healthy enough to spay? It seems like I recall an English poster
(Patch? or Jeanette?) who had a cat on Ovarid, or something like that.
Of course, it's NOT for the general feline population, and not
prescribed for any kind of groove-getting.

I don't know. I just didn't want to get into that whole stupid argument
again about not spay/neutering so cats can still have sex and bring that
nutjob back on here.

Gotcha, but WHICH nutjob? There are so many these days it's hard to
keep track.

FTR

I'm not against surgery to prevent over population.

I could care less if two cats get it on...what do I care.

I said "get groove on"...because that is reality ladies...

CATS HUMP wether we like or not. It's a fact. That's all.

I am not pro cat pleasure pro se.

I can't remember her name, but she was a real fruitcake. Kept going on and
on about doing vasectomies and hysterectomies on cats so they could still
"enjoy" sex.

OK, well, the most efficient way to keep the population down is to spay and
neuter as many cats as possible. I don't think giving a cat birth control
is a great idea. There are many other health benefits to spaying besides
preventing pregnancies. Namely, prevention of pyometria, and ovarian and
breast cancer.

I hear ya, I'm a little overwhelmed I have come to realize this is an
ongoing pursuit with seemingly no light at the end of the tunnel.

I am rich in abstract thought, so I think, let's solve the whole thing
in one fell swoop...lol, not going to happen. Im a dreamer.
