Welcome, little Matareka, to your forever-home and a mama who wants and loves

It is a very lovely name. What's it's origin?

Blessed be, and hugs to the kitlet,
Baha

It is with great joy that I announce the newest addition to the
household. Her name - just recently decided - is Matareka, which means
charming, cheerful and loving. All of which describe her to a tee. She
is mostly tabby but is while along the legs and on the stomach and
around the neck. I had gone to look for little kittens, but feel in
love with this 7 month old lover.

The other two cats told me in no uncertain terms that I MUST take her
back yesterday, however, they have calmed down a bit. Things have
calmed down enough that Matareka and the Stripey Thing are sleeping with
less than a foot between them and they don't care. And, yes, they do
know how close they are. They woke up a bit ago and each snarled a
little and then went back to sleep, closer than they were, but not
touching. So, they have relented in my must needs take her back I
guess. They aren't entirely happy, but they are adapting very very quickly.

I am quite smitten with her at the moment. She has already decided that
beds were made for sleeping and people for sleeping on. Guess who slept
with me last night and on me and around me and so on?

Bridget, good news indeed. Give Matareka welcoming skritches and kisses from
us. And tell the boys to hush up and calm down.
