In all fairness, not all Christians are bent out of shape. And there are
plenty of non-Christians who oppose homosexuality violently.

Generalizations like yours set things back centuries.

As a matter of fact, I know of a "gay" church in Los Angeles
which is definitely "born again" Christian, as well!
(Apparently not everyone interprets those biblical passages
the same way the "gay bashers" do.)

Sadly, the wheels of justice sometimes grind exceedingly slow. It
took decades to grant voting privileges to non-landowners,
non-Christians, non-whites, etc. It took nearly a century to free
slaves and another century to allow integration. It took roughly a
century and a half to permit voting for women. Etc, ad infinitum.
There are cracks now in the idiotic walls erected against
gays/lesbians and we can only hope they'll widen more quickly.
