I have no idea why Scarlett got a huge piece of poo poo stuck to her
tail, as she's usually a fastidious groomer. She rubbed against my foot
a little while ago and I petted her and felt a clump on her rear.
Fearing the worst, a growth or something physical, I scooped her up and
brought her to the bathroom to have a look. I was a massive piece of
poop stuck on her. It was soft, so fairly new. Besides, she's one of
those butt in your face cats, so I'd notice soon if she had poo.

It was easy to peel off of her fur but she still put up a fight and then
she let loose with her anal gland fluid! OMG ick! Luckily I had some
wipes handy in the bathroom and cleaned her up. I have never seen the
anal sacks drain like that before. The vet has with her, so it isn't
unusual for her. They were like 3 dark thick blobs of ick on the base
of her tail just by her anus. And stunk to high heaven.

Luckily even though she fought me, she obviously knows I helped her and
has been very loving and purry with me.

Yech, but I'm happy that it wasn't anything more dangerous than a little
poo and a little anal fluid. But ick.

Sonny's left anal gland has a hair trigger. I have to be so careful when I
have to get something off his behind, and I aim his bottom so it won't
shoot at me or anything for 3 feet around!

Something only a loving parent would do. Nipsy is a long hair and
sometimes gets bits of poop stuck so I get to clean sometimes. I try
to clip the hair by the hole but usually it's because I had to clean
one out.
