Default I couldn't find her!

Persia hid from me so well last night. I actually thought she might have
gotten outside, although I'm careful she doesn't. But I was taking trash
outside and maybe I wasn't so careful with shutting the door first?

I searched everywhere. Behind everything. Closets, pantry, under the bed
behind all the furniture. But dammit, no Persia! I kept calling her. No
Persia.

Where the hell are you?! I couldn't sleep. I finally zonked out on the
couch at about 3:30AM. Around 6AM she came up and tapped me, "Were you
looking for me?" Of course I was looking for you!

I still have no idea where she was hiding. There are only so many places
she can go (that I know of). Methinks she was transported to the Mothership
for a consultation. Let's just say I was in sort of a panic before
exhaustion took over and she woke me up with a tap on the nose. Meow-ma?
I'm right here. Yeah, sure. And you've been here all night, right?

B*stard Cat trick! Nina pulled that on me once while I still had my
old barcalounger. She was curled up underneath it having a nice nap!
And this was after I'd torn the bed apart to look for her among the
box springs.

But I love the image of Persia whispering the feline equivalent of
"Beam Me Up, Scotty!"

They're good at that, aren't they? Once I found ours had pulled away the
fabric covering on the bottom of the box spring and had crawled inside and
was "napping" there. I only found her because the second time I looked
under the bed, I noticed a bulge hanging down from the bottom of the box
spring. After we extricated her, I stapled the fabric back to the frame.

I always sing the "Meow Mix" song to them when we feed them so they're very
good about appearing whenever I sing the song. That way I can nearly always
get them out of hiding when I need to.

When I retire I swear I am going to get the gps for cats up and running.
Than whatwill they do when you catch them in every one of their favorite
hiding spaces ;-)

Trust me, the GPS might let us know where they are, but it won't make the
space accessible to a human trying to get to the vet for a 10:30
appointment.

Ping did that to me the other day. I hadn't seen him in a while, and that
was unusual, so I started looking in all the Ping hiding places (where he
goes when he really does want to be alone), but no Ping - so I started the
search all over again, calling foir him loudly this time. I was checking
the back corners of the bathroom and I turned around, there he was with the
"you lookin' for me?" expression on his face. sigh

Weebs wants me to add that His "Preshus Persia owt not scare her Mommy like
dat"

Unfortunately Persia is on a prescription diet. Me running around singing
"x/d" probably wouldn't do any good. It doesn't come with a song.
