Lester - Happy Birthday

Lester wandered into my home on June 8th, 1988. The vet figured he was six
months old. Therefore, today is his 16th birthday. Guess this isn't the
happiest birthday he's ever had, but at least he is still with us.

He is still pretty scrawny, but hanging in there without any changes to
report. It took a full day to get him purring again after his feeding tube
ordeal on Friday and Saturday. He was given some catnip today, which remains
the only "food" he'll consume.

In my area of the country it is 4am and I am at the PC thinking about
Lester....and now to see your post, Art. Coincidence? May the Almighty of
all that is merciful to the small and helpless take special care to keep
Lester's time with you peaceful and fulfilling to the special bond between
you and your much loved old friend.

Happy Returns of the Day, Lester -- I would love to see you beat the
odds. Lots of purrs from TuTu and me!

Would Lester lick something yummy off your finger? Perhaps baby food?
Perhaps even karo syrup (to give energy)? Or a little lactose-free
milk?

Very special purrday wishes for Lester that he may find peace, comfort
and happiness in these difficult days. Hobbes, Selena and Lacey say he
has the very best gift of all which is a Meowmy and PurrPaw who love him
dearly but they also add that they hope his appetitie increases enough
