Default Bad Kitty Day

Is it caused by the phases of the moon? Whatever the reason, today is
Emily's Bad Kitty Day. For me it began at 4:00 am when I was wakened
by a yowl from Sophie, who'd been sleeping at the foot of my bed.
Normally we keep Emily in the downstairs half of the house at night
because she attacks Sophie, but she'd pushed open the dividing door,
sneaked upstairs and nailed her half-sister. Sophie dived under my
bed, and I jumped up and quarantined Emily in another bedroom where
she'd escaped. Later I carted her back downstairs and locked her up
where a litter pan and food were available.

But that was only the beginning of B.K. Day. When I allowed her back
upstairs in time for our baths (she with her tongue, me with soap) she
got bored sitting on the sink and nudged a full roll of paper towel
onto the floor, then looked down at her handiwork. Not satisfied, she
turned and began to shred a smaller roll. I yelled "Bad kitty!", but
this had no effect because I was laughing too hard, and Emily saw
this.

Nature builds natural protective elements into creatures she creates.
In the case of cats like Emily, it's cuteness. I guess we'll simply
have to put up with Bad Kitty Day - and it's not even half over!

Funny, I always call Stinky "Bad Little Boy" although he is really
hardly ever bad. It's almost an endearment.

It seems that "Rotten Kitty" has almost become an endearment around here.
Neither of us can seem to say it without a smile in our voice
