OK, guys and gals. We are all animal lovers (some of us are actually
advocates and active in rescue organizations, but these students are
going to be boozing it up under the guise of 'fund raising' for a for-
profit business that doesn't need and funds raised for it. Read the
story and attached comments (mine is under the screen name Jeep), and
feel free to add your own if you want.

Ok ladies… voice needed. This is a complete joke and we really need to
get the message out that this in inappropriate on many levels. If you
can, please comment and feel free to talk to the reporter or reach out
to the instructor as well.

It's not inappropriate on any level. All I see at that site is a few stupid
comments based on idiotic assumptions. Those kids are in a *business course*.
There is nothing wrong with helping a small business. They are after all run by
real people.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), these kids are
going to get a lesson in how many kooks there are on the net, and how many
idiots call themselves "animal lovers".

This is really sad. The project that is described would have been an
excellent way to raise funds for a shelter or rescue group, but if this is
the type of "business" I think it is (selling animals, very likely puppy
mill products), they are just contributing to a tragedy.
