Default Massive Pet Extermination

We are facing a terrible experience in Rio de Janeiro. Pet defenders
from all over the city are on the eminence of loosing their colonies.
Cats and dogs will be swept from streets by our government. The
argument is that they will bring treating illnesses to population. No
recent statistics on sporotrichosis or toxoplasmosis human contagion
has suggested this treat.

The most pathetic is that the responsible for this action is the
Animal Protection Chamber. The nurturing program will continue but as
a facade to the cleaning process in preparation for the pan-american
athletic games in Rio. They were already cleaning streets in a hidden
processes. But now it is a declared open eradication.

Please, help us. Any testimony of good relations between humans and
street animals populations would be of good help. We know that
colonies eradication would not prevent other animals to be abandoned.
And it is very sad to see those animals we care so much being taken
from us to death.

Thank you in advance.
