Default Looks like we're safe (was: Fire Purrs)

This morning the fire picked up again, and burned further east. When I
looked at it at noon it was down at the base of highway 330 - about 3/4
mile from my place. Lots os smoke, lots of ash. Got everything packed up
and ready evacuate, then sat down to watch. By 2:00 most of the visible
flames had died down. When I looked again 5 minutes ago, no flames are
visible, and we've got smoke plumes rising from close to 180 degree
expanse of mountain.

Looks like we're all going to be fine. But I'm NOT looking forward to
rainy season (if we have one this year).

Still purring here for the folks close to the other fires.

I hadn't thought of that. Rain would be lovely right now, but after all
these fires, the flooding and mudslides will be horrendous if we do get
a lot of rain early next year.

I'm releaved you and your family are OK, continuing purrs for all the people
and animals affected, and special purrs for the firefighters who are risking
their lives for others.
