Boyfriend was forced..
Sadie Dog does this and, always insists on checking the closet, like that
would be a place she could go, but she has to look anyway.. "Jofirey" wrote in message ... "William Hamblen" wrote in message ... When I lived in Boston I was out in that temperature all the time. Granted, any indoor-outdoor cats I might have had probably didn't spend much time outside in that weather. "Christina Websell" wrote in message ... To use the litterbox. He likes to use the out for his toilet duties but it's really cold here. It was -5C last night so he was in all night. He asked to go out this morning when it was still about -3. He changed his mind when he saw how cold it was, returned and did the most massive pee in KFC's clean litterbox. He must have been saving it all night as it took him a whole minute to do it! and it definitely ruined the litterbox as it spread and spread and spread. Poor lad, it has be dire circumstances before he will consider using a litterbox. -5 is dire circumstances in anyone's book. Brrrr. Poor Boyfie. I've spent quite a bit of time in both Boston and Winnipeg. At least 3 winters each. And I can corroborate Cheryl's sister's opinion. I think in the 3 winters I spent in Wpg, the temp never rose above 0 F. from November 15 through about March 1. My 2nd winter there (1972-73) I shared a ride down to Florida in December and flew back from Atlanta to Wpg. around the first of January. It was 77 F. when I got on the plane in Atlanta, and on arrival in Wpg. it was -70 F. with wind chill factored in. By the end of my 3rd winter in Wpg. I was almost as accustomed to it as the natives, out and about in 35-F. weather in shorts and t-shirt. Unlike the first winter when I had to dress in so many layers to go outside that by the time I was done dressing, the clothing was so thick and heavy that I could barely move! |

As indoor kitties Dunzi and Sarsi love this time of year because the heating is on! At the moment, Dunzi is asleep on top of the scratching post (not that she ever scratches that much and I am always amazed she doesn't fall off in her sleep!) by the living room radiator and Sarsi is half under a duvet on the bed by the radiator they;re not moving until tea time! Jo Time for a reference to Robert Heinlein's short story collection "The Door into Summer" (The title of which, according to the author, was prompted by a cat of his who insisted upon testing every door in the house - seven, IIRC - in hopes of finding better weather lurking outside one of them.) |
