Default Do other IBD cats smell this bad?

I had a friend over this weekend who pointed out that Jackie really
smells foul. Truth is, Jackie is not a good smelling cat but her butt
does really smell of poop. Now, she does, presumptively, have
Inflamatory Bowel Diease but do did Nico and he never smelled like
this.

She was lying next to me last night and suddenly there was this
amazingly bad smell, and checking out Jackie's butt I see that a
little had leaked out onto the bedspread. Nothing surprising there; it
does happen and that is why there is a bedspread.

I have bought the kitty wipes and use them now instead of the baby
wipes that I used until the recent thread, so I cleaned up both her
and the bed. I use the left over baby wipes for the bed. It doesn't
seem to mind the proplene glycol.

Well, the bottom line question is, do other folks have cats that just
really smell this bad? Nico was an upchucker so I suppose his IBD was
nearer to the stomach. Do cats have small and large intestines or is
that an omnivore thing? Perhaps Jackie just has IBD in the lower
(large) intestine and thus it causes diarrhea instead of upchucks.

She is still doing ok. She leaks here and there but is getting around.
I just dread when she decides to take a lap around the bed and waltzes
over my head during the night.
