name frequency
Is there a list on the internet showing the frequency with which
certain names are given to cats? Another way of saying this would be relative popularity of cat names thanks Ken |

That actually got me thinking. Where did the word "puss" come from?
Apparently it's from the French, which (I suppose depending on the gender) has the double meaning of feline & genital. The things you learn on usenet... ""But the use of pussy as a term of endearment argues against the vaginal sense being generally known before late 19c., e.g.:"" http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?l=p&p=37 I'd say use it with impunity. Your neighbours are unlikely to call the cops. "Mike Rhino" wrote in message ... "I.P.Freely" wrote in message ... "Ken Phifer" wrote in message om... I also remember seeing puss used in old movies as a synonym for face.
