Default Cats & Snow

Hopefully the snowbound winter for our friends (humans and cats alike)
is over.

The snow is all gone now. I can finally walk on the sidewalks.
We are used to the cold and snow, but still this winter was brutal,
and broke records. Anyway, it seems that we skipped spring, and
went straight from winter to summer. I've been wearing sandals and
others are in shorts.
It is finally time to put away my winter boots.
The temperature hovers around 30C (80's F).

My mom's RB cat loved to play in the snow. We called him the snow cat.

It's just the opposite here. We didn't really have a winter this year.
In Southern California we don't get snow or really cold weather, but
this year we had only a week or two total where the high was in the 60s
F, and we had some weather in the high 80s and even 90s. We went
straight from fall to late spring. We are having some cooler weather
now, but it's about to warm up again.

3 to 6 inches of snow across the SoCal mtns, with another system
expected to arrive Thursday night or Friday morning, then ANOTHER
one the week after.

Not a lot of rain, but it WAS a record for any day in May where I live,
at .56 inches, beating the former record of .49 inches.

Yabbut I'm not in the mountains. Rain was predicted all day Thursday.
Because I no longer drive at night if it's raining, I got a ride to my
Toastmasters meeting that evening, just in case it did rain. Did it
ever! We could hear it loud and clear through the last 20 minutes or so
of our meeting. It had let up some by the time we got out, but it was
still raining, so I was very glad I'd gotten a ride. By the time I was
home (at the other end of our city/valley), it wasn't raining. When I
looked at my yard the next morning I could see that we'd gotten very
little compared to what they got where the meeting was. I turned off my
sprinklers anyway.

Both myself & Boyfie hate snow. Nuele's cat in Germany is used to it. I
have pics of him in Really Big Snow.
He got dumped on her, and she doesn't particularly like him because he
scratches her but she feeds him well and provides him with a house to live
in. I don't think he likes her either.
He gets on well with her bulldogs. That's all we can say.

Nuele lives in a small village in Germany where once someone used to take
cats in. They moved away: they keep being dropped off still.
Just dump them there, and expect someone to take them in!
