Well the numbers I called didnt seem to have a 24 hour number...one number
gave another number which I called (I know a tiny bit of swedish) but that was a dead end, most others say they are back in on Monday.... seems crazy I know but thats Sweden (closed on weekends!)...so need to know any treatment i can do for the cat myself. "Cathy Friedmann" wrote in message ... Is there perhaps a friend or neighbor who (speaks Swedish) could call for you, to describe the problems? I have no idea about in Sweden, but here, vets have people on call during closed office hours to handle emergencies. IOW, if were to call the vet's while they're normally closed, an answering service would give the on-call vet my name, ph. number, & short description of the problem, then the vet would call me back in short order & set up an emergency appt. if s/he thought it wise. Ive called about 4 vet offices I have found online and they are all closed.....I am living in rural Sweden so things arent very accessible here, and I dont speak the language but still trying to find something.... Is there *no* vet that you can get him into? If this is blockage, he could be dead by Monday. Laura -- I am Dyslexia of Borg, Your ass will be laminated. |

"H. Howard" wrote in message ... He doesnt seem dehydrated and in fact seems sort of normal except for not wanting his food or water...he has had some milk today and goes out every few hours to use the toilet but not sure if anything is coming out (he stops when I look!). I am trying to give him stuff to lick so he wont be too thirsty or starved.... but highly frustrating when everything seems to be shut down around here... thanks for the replies... Cat milk that is I hope! |

Cat milk that is I hope! IME, cats aren't usually allergic to (lactose-intolerant of) milk. Small sample, but of my 4 cats, none of them have had problems drinking milk. Also, if not too sure, one can offer some diluted milk - say 50-50 of water-milk. Enough of the flavor to entice a cat who likes milk. Cathy -- "Staccato signals of constant information..." If by some chance you have some vitamin C around, give him about 250
mgs. This often works if there is a minor urinary tract infection. He should still see a vet as soon as possible. Hopefully it isn't a blockage. |
