Default 'Rovers' character after death of his brother...

As a lot of you aware 'Donny' our 5 year old cat sadly died 2 weeks ago and
it really shocked us as it was unexpected.

I am just wanting to share these moments with you, but I know his (Rover)
behaviour is bound to change (after all his brother and best mate is not here
anymore).
He is sticking with us more in the house, following us around and being even
more affectionate.
In bed he will lay on my pillow sometimes as Molly used to (she died end of
March).
Or he might lay on my back/belly as Donny used to...
I just think he has part of them in him, coincidental or not it made me smile
as part of them are with us.
We will never forget them and now certain characteristics which Rover holds
will remind us of them even more.

I understand that he will change because there are no more cats around, to
which he was used to.

However time has flown by and in a week we are getting our 3 new additions as
most of you are also aware...Porcha, Charlie and Chester (you must remember
those names?).
I am guessing his behaviour will change once again, but I have said to my
husband and son that we must pay a lot of attention to him. As many of you
told me in here there may be some issues when adapting to 3 new cats which we
will persevere with.

I will keep you all posted regarding our new additions and Rovers behaviour...
If I need you I will be hitting the buttons quickly :-)

I guess this thread is to see if anyone else has had experiences where there
cat has previous cat mannerisms...I just need all your stories as it has
helped me get through the pain of losing a cat so unexpectedly.
I have a few photos around the house of Donny and I smile when I look at them.
..he was such a sweet sweet cat.

Thank you all for your time.
Going away on Thursday camping in Mablethorpe (East Coast) until Monday which
I am looking forward to.
The inlaws will look after Rover for us and our 3 fish so we know that they
are well looked after.

take care
Clare x
(sorry if this thread is weird - I just care!)
