Scooter Update - reasonably good news
Apparently Scooter has a strep infection, enterococcus, that's in his
skin so that's why he's been scratching so much and has so many scabs. That has been getting better with the initial antibiotic injection and I've been able to get him to swallow the antibiotic liquid by starving him between meals (along with the other two cats - the whining is endless). I'll need to switch him to another antibiotic (clavamox?) after he's done with this one just to make sure it really goes away. No explanation for why he lost almost a pound over the last year except that he's getting older, around 10. But some of it may be because he's had this infection for the last month or two and really wasn't eating much. All in all, much better than I feared. |

Purrs continue for Scooter to get better and this nasty infection to go away post haste. Jill |

I'm glad he's doing better. -- Joyce Teach a child to be polite and courteous in the home and, when he grows up, he'll never be able to merge his car onto a freeway. |
