Default Splash, the sea bitty...

2 friends of mine, Gus and Ryan, own and run a charter boat company in
Cardiff. (If any of you have seen Torchwood, they work from the Quay
that is just behind the Torchwood entrance). They had a massive black
and white Maine coon cat called Sinbad, that Gus found as a kitten
that had been dumped in the dock. Sinbad was known to everyone and
used to go out on the boats every day with Gus. He also used to bring
back the stray cats in the marina so that Gus could give them a square
meal. Unfortunately, Sinbad went to RB at the ripe age of 19 in April
2007. The boat has apparently been very quiet.

On Saturday morning, they were coming into the marina when Gus saw a
man throw a wriggling plastic bag off the pier. The bag was meowing.
Gus promptly fished the bag out by jumping into the water and handing
the bag up to Ryan. Inside were 3 bitties about 5 weeks old who were
wet and cold and very distressed. The man disappeared before anyone
could do anything. (

Fortunately Gus's wife is a vet tech. She's patched all the bitties
up, and it appears that the bitties have survived their ordeal. Ryan
is keeping the two tabby girl bitties who have been named Marina and
Ariel, and Gus is keeping the black and white bitty who has been named
"Splash".....

It seems Sinbad is still keeping an eye out for waifs and strays. )

Hiss-spits on the ******* who dumped them however.

Major dirty litterbox offerings to those who would dump kittens off in a bag
into the water! What's wrong with people?!

Purrs for the bitties to be healthy, happy and find good homes.

I hope Splash follows in Sinbad's Paw prints!

Tyche and Kumani send the ******* to Davy Jone's Locker, where he will
find buried treasure....the kind of "Treasure" buried in litter boxes
every day.

The bitties have already been homed.

Gus is keeping the black and white boy, and Ryan is keeping the two
tabby girls.

Eek, Helen, that was a stealth TW post. (Hmm, maybe we need a new tag:
AW - Anger Warning.) What a cretin!! Let *him* float in a plastic bag in
the ocean for a while, just long enough to scare the pants off him and
freeze his nuts off.

But I'm glad it ended well. Hooray for Ryan and Gus - they're heroes!
Not just rescuing the kittens but keeping them. Their boat needs a new
mascot - looks like they just got 3.

I'm certainly glad Gus was there to jump into the water and save the
poor kittens!

Many purrs for their health and happiness!

You don't want to hear about what I think of someone who puts kittens in
a bag and throws them in the sea!

I'd go a little farther - let him drown miserably and slowly. People
like
that are the ones that bring to mind the phrase 'He needed killing'
