Default Cats and boosters

My 7 year old indoor cat has never had a booster and I want to take her for
her first check up in two years. I'm a little reluctant to start with the
boosters, but I'm also worried that just taking her to the vet can expose her
to germs and bacteria she has no resistance for.

Any suggestions or feelings about boosters? She has bad teeth (lost all her
little ones at a young age) but is very dainty and tame.
