When I first got home tonight, everything seemed normal. Roxy came to
the door to greet me, as she always does. Licky wasn't far behind her,
and he did his little shy thing of hanging back, but at the same time
wanting to let me know he was ready for his dinner. It's really cute.

As I was getting their food ready to give them, I suddenly heard
growling, and lots of hissing. I turned around, and the two of them
were facing off making all sorts of rude and hostile noises at each
other. It soon escalated into a screeching fight, and I had to separate
them.

WTF? These guys don't fight. The only time I ever saw them get hostile
with each other was when a neighborhood cat came to the door, Roxy saw
him, and started hissing and growling. I closed the door, and she took
out her aggression on Licky, causing them to have an unpleasant day
together (which they got over in a day or so). But I didn't see anything
like that this evening. I didn't see anything at all that would have
caused them to act like this.

The only thing I can think of is that when I brought Roxy home from the
vet, she smelled of the animal hospital. But that was "so yesterday"!
They got along fine yesterday and all evening, and were fine this morning.
All of a sudden, *now*, Licky decides to freak out about her smell? Hard
to believe. Besides, if anyone's going to start trouble between them,
it'd be Roxy, not Licky. He looks afraid of her, and has been skulking
around all evening, the way cats do when they're nervous - walking really
slowly and low to the ground.

Well, whatever started this, I hope they kiss and make up soon. Otherwise,
I guess I'll have to buy some Feliway.

Hello,

Roxy brought home something that she picked up at the Vet's, and has
infected Licky . . . Licky is sick and feeling weak, thus fears any
cat and even you. Licky will soon begin to hunch up w/spiked fur, and
even disappear into hiding, so hopefully youhave some kind of
antibiotic or sulfa on hand for a quick prophylactic. Go to the bottom
of the page of http://fluffyfuzzies.com and call the telephone No. you
see there for help for animal medications, so that you willnot ever
again be unprepared.

Also itis worm season and any stress at all can effect kitty's immune
system, sending them into a downward spiral of, yes, even death from
worm infection. Again i repeat go to that page and get the worming
meds . . . QUICK like a bunny . . .

I hope so too. It's hard to witness. But then, cats are so unpredictable.
I suspect they'll go back to their normal selves in a few days tops.
