Same thing happened when 2001 hit... New Zealand passed the test so what the
hell am I doing here at 6:00 AM making sure the servers still work? At
least management brought in "lunch" - uh, mini quiches, meatballs, cheese
and crackers. Someone did think ahead and order champagne. Hmmm, I need to
go get some of that for tonight Still nearly 12 hours to go here.

Ours isn't for a bit over 10 hours yet. We're going to our usual
party, where we celebrate New Year's Brazilian-style (which also means
three hours earlier than we would otherwise). Then we'll head home
and celebrate with the TV. No Dick Clark this year, which will seem
weird. I've been ringing in the new year with ol' Dick since the 70s
(it was Guy Lombardo before that). Won't be the same with Regis. Oh,
well.

May 2005 bring wonderful things to each and every one of the decent
and caring people of this group!
