The flush thing is really funny here. O T uses the human litterbox and when
I flush it, he howls like someone is really stealing something important.

No one may visit the bathroom alone here, either. It's prime playground
space with a captive audience. Miranda brings her strings for me to drag
around and toss for her. This morning when I went in, there were already
two strings on the floor, and Miranda soon followed me dragging a third
one behind her.

Also, Caliban has to Inspect the Flush. It is Very Important Business that
he takes very seriously (he inherited the job from Frank). Once, my sister
visited and *closed the door* while visiting the bathroom. Caliban sat
outside and scratched the door and wowled. When sis opened the door, he
dashed by her to the throne to catch the end of the flush.

Ping pong balls in the bathtub are BIG fun, don't all cats know that?

I wish I had a bath tub! Instead I have a stupid sauna that I can't even
use. It's the cats' toilet area (at least the floor space isn't completely
wasted).

It's a little less busy around here since Stinky went to RB. It just goes
to show how much I miss him-- I wish he was here bothering me in the
bathroom. He used to fling the door open while I was sitting there--
it would fly open with a huge BANG! like some murderous monster was out
there-- and there would be little Stinky, with his bright, cheerful little
face, saying "whrrrrrrr- whrrrrrrrr!" and walking in with his tail up in
the air.

Both of them love(D) the captive audience angle. Stinky would demand
pettin's, and Dante likes to sit in my pants. :O

They also like(d) to get into the bathtub and check that out for awhile,
too. It's good for in-and-out fighting-- "I'm in and you can't come in"--
or "You're in and you can't come out."

The flush is always exciting, of course. Once Dante followed me to the loo,
but discovered he had his own business to take care of. He peeled off, ran
to the litter box to do his own business, and ran back to the bathroom, and
was waiting outside in time for the flush.

Aww. I can so see this with my mind's eye. Darling Stinky! Frank also
used to slam open doors.

Both Caliban and Miranda have been known to climb into my pants.
Sometimes at the same time. :/ Or they fight about who gets the pants,
like yours fought about the bathtub. :P

No hair rollers nor wine corks here, but the ping pong balls and empty TP
rolls are good.

You ever wonder why we pay so much money for toys when an empty toilet
paper roll, wine corks, empty boxes, hair rollers and ping pong balls get
chosen the most

Isn't that an old popular song?

Ping pong balls in the bathtub are BIG fun, don't all cats know that?

Mine apparently do not know this. If I roll a ping pong ball in the
bathtub, then whichever cat is in there (either Licky or Roxy) might
play with it for a moment. But the moment it stops moving, they lose
interest.

All of the owners have gone through phases where they had to inspect the
flush and unroll the toilet paper. Of course assistance to the human on the
chair has to be offered and pettins accepted. I was washing my hair in the
shower a few days ago. When I turned around to rinse the soap out of my
hair I noticed that a plush black and white butt and tail were jumping from
Rob's shower chair and heading for the door (I'm mildly claustrophobic and
the bathroom door is left open and the door to the hallway is closed when I
use the reading room) and I heard Tanada complaining loudly to Rob about my
unseemly behavior. Apparently when I turned around a drop of water landed
on her ladyship's little head.

Tub games are fun and Pine Cone loves to come into the shower and get his
outer fur wet. Then he insists on the fur on his head and back being
tweaked into spikes. If mousse weren't so toxic, I'd be tempted to apply
some. I haven't had time alone in the bathroom since Jason turned one in
1979.

Speaking of which, has anyone found a product that protects the toilet
paper from "helpful" unrollers?

Harley doesn't cause me problems, but my mom's cats will unroll the roll,
so she has to leave the door closed all the time.

Perhaps some kind of hinged cover?

"Joy" "Kyla =^..^=" ...
We have two bathrooms in our mobile home, and when I am spending a lot of
time, 'sitting' in mine, I keep a few cat toys in there, because I get
little fuzzy 'visitors'.
I tried to keep the door shut, but why? There's no one else around and
they meowl like crazy. I have a colored ping pong ball in the shower
that Pipps loves to bat around, a cat toy for Sqweez that looks like a
blue bobble toy, and a round toy that also has a ping pong ball in it
they can bat around. Pookie loves to open the lower cupboard doors and
slam them them if he gets mad at me, and I also keep a few plastic
grocery bags in there for the trash that he loves to 'nest' in.
Do you get little 'visitors' when you're in the loo?
Kyla

Not now. Lindy sometimes stands in the doorway and yowls at me to get off
her water dish. Several RB cats I've had did come in, and some would
occasionally jump on my lap, curl up and purr.

Joy

Her water dish? umkay. Got any pictures? I've seen d*gs drink out of there,
but cats, well, I can see that...LOL. And you hate to get up when you're
done, because you 'don't want to disturb the cat'...right? Just make
yourself comfy....yeesh...
and then the phone starts ringing....
Kyla

Same here, . Pipps, the feisty brat,. will bat the brightly colored ping
pong ball in my shower along with a small water dish,at night, when I'm
trying to go to sleep and will bat it around for awhile and sometimes will
try and see if she can 'make the hoop' ..splash..into the water bowl.
*splash* MrrrrT:/ 'You got it in there, you get it out'. Then
silence....mrrrrt? a few more mrrrrts, and she's like MaaaaaaaWmmm.. . I
reply something like" mrrt gnow gleeshynowl", and she leaves, grumbling.
*shrug* I'm half asleep....
