Default Update 3 on my mother

Now they're doing surgery even though they said her heart wasn't strong
enough to withstand it. Apparently it's a better choice than dosing her
constantly with pain medication. I don't expect her to survive it.

I can't find Persia! I need my kitty.

When my mother broke her hip (at 86) they did the hip replacement
completely under local anesthetic. Isn't that what they are using? In any
case, lots of purrs for a good recovery.

Prayers and purrs for a good result for you and for your mom.

It really is a very tough choice to make. If the pain is so severe
that she has to be totally sedated all the time to manage it, she will
never get better and the pain killers will eventually kill her.

At least with the surgery there is the outside chance of a good
outcome once she does survive the surgery.

Are they operating now, or is it just what they have decided to do?

Jo

Persia, your mommy needs you. I know she is upset, and sometimes its
scary when she's upset. But its part of the deal. Maybe you can work
it for some new toys or treats in the future. But you needs to take
care of your mommy now.

Noooo, don't say that!! Moms are fighters. Especially when they know how
much they are loved. She WILL get through this with you and you WILL with
her!!

{{{JILL}}}

Persia will benefit from all the extra hugs and scritches you need to give
her!! xo

Am so sorry to hear this. It gets confusing when they say she can't stand
the surgery and yet, there may be a chance and without it, none. Been
there, heard that.

pRAYERS AND PURRS TO YOU. The caps brought to you by Piglet wanting to add
her special purrs to this post.
