Update on Oscar the poop cat!!

The vets called and left a message on my machine last evening. It's
giardia. I wasn't home, so I'm on my way up there this morning to get the
antibiotics. I Googled giardia and it seems to be some nasty stuff...
especially since it's contagious and can transfer to humans. The good thing
is that I wear rubber gloves and a face mask when I do the litter boxes. I
also use Clorox bleach wipes and wipe down all of the box's edges. I am
actually glad that they found something that can be fixed. With Oscar's
sensitive stomach, I was afraid his IBS was getting worse.

Oh, and when I show the house, the last thing I do before I leave is check
the litter boxes to make sure they're tidy. I also put on a pot of coffee
for a nice aroma and light two Yankee candles. I have a carpet allowance
attached to the sale of the house. It's for $2,000. So whoever does buy my
house will get brand new wall to wall carpeting!!

Well the GOOD news is that the five day supply of pills Oscar will be taking
is only $12.00!! I'm one of those pet owners that has bad luck at the vets.
Usually everything is at least $100 if not more. The vet tech did tell me
it's contagious, but I'm to watch what happens in the litter boxes to see if
Maui or Pooh show signs of this pesky parasite.
