Indiana Feral Park Cats: Final Update (I hope)
Apologies for taking so long to post this (hopefully) final update on
the feral park cats in Richmond, Indiana. Ironically, it was politics that solved the problem. A new mayor was elected, and she even (while campaigning) went out with the caretakers and helped feed the ferals! She has since worked with the caretakers and they have an agreement that they will be left alone to do what they need to do for the cats. I'm sure all your calls, e-mails and letters helped make a difference. I suspect this issue was the defining one in the election, in fact. There is an excellent summary of what has happened at the following URL: http://indyferal.org/index.php?page=newsletter Under "April 2005 Feral Focus" click on your preference for viewing. Thank you so much for taking your time and energy to help these cats. May they continue to have a happy future.
