Default Cats peeing on air vents!!!

My crazy cats have been peeing on the air cond/heating vents in our house since
we moved in.It's driving us crazy and we don't know what to do!! Has anyone
else ever experienced anything like this, or is this unique occurence from my
kitties?

That's exactly the place you don't want them to pee. Where are the vents?
Mine are on the ceiling! If they're on the floor put litter pans on top of
them for a while. The air should still get through.

Of course I don't look busy,
I did it right the first time.

Also, have them checked for urinary tract infections. Sometimes the stress
involved in moving will cause such an infection.

Thanks so much for the suggestions, I'll try the thorough cleaning in case
other cats left the scent. Not sure how to cover them to discourage and still
let air in...might have to build something. Thanks again for all your input...
