HELP! We need advice!!! :(
We have a 7yr. old male cat and a 2yr. old female cat. They are both nuetered
and are indoor/outdoor, but mostly indoor. We adopted a female kitten. The 2 yr. female had a complete personality change. She only comes in the house to eat and pee on the rug!!!! She hisses, growls and swats at everyone. When she is outside she is affectionate. We love her and are very upset by this change in her. She never bit, growled or hissed prior to the arrival of the new kitten. She was extremely lovable and affectionate. We don't want to have her as an outdoor cat due to jeopardizing her safety. However, we can't have this behavior continue. We want her lovable personality back. This has been going on for 3 1/2 months. We just don't know what to do! Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Please advise. Thank you! JRB |

A friend of mine just had the same sort of problem. He has a 3 yr old male
cat ( neutered ) and got a female kitten ( only a few weeks old ). Everything went fine for a few weeks then the older cat suddenly got really aggressive. Advice from his vet was that this was a common behaviour development for some cats when introduced to a kitten. He was told that the situation would probably improve when the kitten was neutered and he was given medication for the aggresive cat in the meantime. Still waiting to see how it develops and if the problem can be resolved. John -- Remove P's and BEANZ from to reply "JroseB57" wrote in message ... The kitten should have been slowly and properly introduced. You could try to re-introduce them using this method.
