my kitty was shot
This last Weds I found my kitty laying on the porch. I gave him my familiar
"meow" he replied with a plaintif MEEOW he was hurt, as I approached i noticed a long shaft laying near him but I quickly realized that it was coming out of his side, my kitty was shot, someone for some reason decided to kill him. The latest news is that "Bandit" is alive and recoveriing, i am too. |

A kid or adult dumb enough to do this could easily kill. MLB |

I can't remember where I read this, but there's supposedly a strong correlation between people who harm or kill animals and serial killers. I'm not talking about hunters, but people who harm dogs, cats and other typical pets. It has something to do with a disregard for life, I think. Hooray for Bandit! and I hope he has a full recovery, Warren -- ----------------------------------------------------------- Great gifts for cat lovers at http://www.officiallycute.com |

I'm sorry about the ktty, is it possible that it was an accident? I'm sorry,
but I've been on this "see the positive in people" thing lately. but if it was an arrow, then chances are it was on purpose, just by the nature of huting with a bow and arrow. I hope he recovers completly! this will take this a little bit OT, but I read a lot and the correlation you are talking about refers to children, I think 8-13 or something like that. But it goes along with several other statistics. the majority of serial have: 1)exhibeted the animal torture you speak of, 2) wet the bed way past the normal age, 3) are white males in their late twenties when they start, and usually in their late thirties early forties when they are caught, 4) have overbearing/abusive mothers (yes usually mothers) 5) are extremely intelligent but did poorly in school and work at menial labor type jobs. there are other statistics, but I can't remember them off the top of my head. -- Paula Drennan In Memory of, Tenzing the Kitty, May 4 - August 1, 2003 He lost his short battle for life, and is now in peace. Good news! my kitty "Bandit" has made a remarkable recovery, the Arrow
pierced him near his left shoulder and followed down and through his skin next to his tummy. Yes, we reported this as early as we could to the local State police and is still under investigation, needless to say "Bandit" is not going to be allowed to play outside, this is hard on him but we dont want to let this killer have another shot. I agree with others who have posted this was done by someone who has no respect for life. I am so gratefull to the Vet who took him out of danger and so skillfully repaired his wound.. As long as the culprit is at large, people should be careful too. This "ninny" might try it again. Best of luck and give Bandit a pat from me. mLB |
