Cat In Need, Sacramento, Ca
Ive never posted here but some friends of mine suggested I try
this..... Do any of you know of someone who will take in a very tame loving house cat? Its a female cat who is a lap sitter she loves to cuddle...She's about 3 yrs old and is not spayed. A friend of ours could not keep her and so we took her in a few months ago. Recently we took in a new cat in our house and the two do not get along. I feel terrible about surrendering her to the pound since she is just so loveable. If anyone has any information or suggestions please email me at P.S. Ive called several of the rescure groups and so far have hit a wall every time. |

They might get along better if the first cat is spayed. I would try that
before anything else. Rhonda PS -- By the way, why would you be thinking about getting rid of the first cat, when she was fine until you got the second cat? Maybe you could find a home for the new one? Hope you can keep both... wrote: Ive never posted here but some friends of mine suggested I try this..... There is no need to give this cat up. There are a few things you need to
do. First, get this cat spayed ASAP. Not doing so puts her at increasing risk for cancer and a deadly uterine infection, not to mention the possibility of pregnancy, which will only contribute to the already overwhelming overpopulation problem. Second, *completely* separate the cats for a week or two (you can alternate where they are) and allow no contact, then start over and do a very slow introduction. You can learn more about how to do that he http://www.catsinternational.org/art...roduction.html Megan "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -Edmund Burke Learn The TRUTH About Declawing http://www.stopdeclaw.com Zuzu's Cats Photo Album: http://www.PictureTrail.com/zuzu22 "Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
