Those who are not American and could not resist reading my post that had the
title "Americans only"

grin

I'd have had to have a look myself, tbh.

Well, I am an American, so I was among the group being addressed. However,
I have to admit that I would have wanted to take a look if the title had
been "Brits only" or "Europeans only" (or, for that matter, "Canadians
only," which would then get back to the question of whether "Americans"
should apply to all the Americas). ;o)

Of course, I read the wholed thread and even responded a few times. It's
about language, my line of work.

I read, as well as responded to a corner of the thread, but them I'm
nosy, curious, and like ponderings about language.

I'd have read it no matter what the subject (unless it was obviously SPAM or
trolling). Just out of curiosity, mind you

I would have done too! It's human nature, like reading a post that's titled
"test, please do not read"
Well, sometimes you just have to ;-)

I always read the "test, do not read" posts. And they're always boring.
What a surprise.
