problems with adult persian cat.....looking for tips....

This adult persian (not mine) does not like men and reportedly does not like
a male baby. Anyone have any tips to modify her behavior? The cat is an 8
year old female. Thanks.

Do you know the history of the cat?

It is possible the cat has suffered abuse by a male.

In order to modify this the cat must reach a point where it does not
feel threatened by males. It may take a long time and a lot of patience
on behalf of a male the cat can gradually learn to trust.

Starting with daily interaction, no matter how little... even being in
the same room. The male could also take over feeding responsibilities...
the cat will soon learn the male is the one putting the food on the
floor. Etc, etc...
