Now, did you write it down so you'll remember? Or are you counting on
remembering that you wrote it down here? g

The fact that I wrote it down, or where I wrote it down, isn't as important
as the fact that I made a big fuss over it. The fuss will make me remember.

I should have added: the fuss of going to the computer at 4 AM and posting
that I remember what it was, and why I need it, that's what will make it
stick.

Herbicide.

There are mimosa roots constantly sprouting new branches all around the
foundation of my house. Last spring I found a way to kill them: Saw the
branches off and paint the fresh stump with herbicide. But I didn't get
them all done.

It's 4 AM, so of course I remembered!!!

I'm glad you finally remembered. I know how maddening it can be when you
can't think of something.

Yay!

I think posting in via a computer counts as "writing it down"!

Besides, she now has many people to remember it as well.

Herbicide - I can see why you might not remember that right now. It's
winter, you don't use it all the time. But you still need to have it.

That sounds like what Charlie and I do. I tell him to remind me of
something if I'm afraid I'll forget. He does the same.

It isn't like he actually will remember and remind me, but telling him helps
me to get it into long term memory. My brain doesn't seem to mind
forgetting things, but it doesn't what him knowing I forget things.
