GOT IT!! - Was: [OT] What do I need?
"Jeanne Hedge" wrote Now, did you write it down so you'll remember? Or are you counting on remembering that you wrote it down here? g The fact that I wrote it down, or where I wrote it down, isn't as important as the fact that I made a big fuss over it. The fuss will make me remember. |

I should have added: the fuss of going to the computer at 4 AM and posting that I remember what it was, and why I need it, that's what will make it stick. |

et... Herbicide. There are mimosa roots constantly sprouting new branches all around the foundation of my house. Last spring I found a way to kill them: Saw the branches off and paint the fresh stump with herbicide. But I didn't get them all done. It's 4 AM, so of course I remembered!!! I'm glad you finally remembered. I know how maddening it can be when you can't think of something. Joy |

Now, did you write it down so you'll remember? Or are you counting on remembering that you wrote it down here? g I think posting in via a computer counts as "writing it down"! Besides, she now has many people to remember it as well. Herbicide - I can see why you might not remember that right now. It's winter, you don't use it all the time. But you still need to have it. The fuss will make me remember. That sounds like what Charlie and I do. I tell him to remind me of something if I'm afraid I'll forget. He does the same. It isn't like he actually will remember and remind me, but telling him helps me to get it into long term memory. My brain doesn't seem to mind forgetting things, but it doesn't what him knowing I forget things. Jo |

Stump treatments can be used as long as the ground is not frozen. |

I think you can apply the herbicide now, but if you wait till late winter, like Feb. or March, the sap will start rising, and it will just flush the herbicide out. We fight Trees of Heaven constantly. They are really invasive, and really hard to get rid of. Sherry |
