We've been having wonderful sunny weather the last couple of days, the snow is melting fast, and the balcony has heated up to +10 C in the mornings, when the sun shines on it. -- Marina, Frank and Nikki Email marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi Pics at http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/frankiennikki |

Marina captured a pretty sunrise and I managed to catch a beautiful sunset just through the window next to me on Feb 19. http://tinyurl.com/3gkvc The weather now tends to go from frosty to thawing and back, making the snowmush freeze into slippery, lumpy things hard to walk on and stay on your feet... -- Christine in Vantaa, Finland christal63 (at) yahoo (dot) com photos: http://photos.yahoo.com/christal63 |

I remember taht weather from the late 70s when I was stationed in Alaska - which also had the most beautiful sunsets/sunsrises I've seen. Course in the winter you could almost see both during your lunch hour ;-) -- Steve Touchstone, faithful servant of Sammy, Little Bit and Rocky [remove Junk for email] Home Page: http://www.sirinet.net/~stouchst/index.html Cat Pix: http://www.sirinet.net/~stouchst/animals.html |

That looks like really beautiful, lush grass that Frank is enjoying. I can
never seem to get my grass to last here. It shrivels up and dies in about 2 weeks, even though I water it plenty. Maybe it's just too hot here for this Canadian grass? I guess if I had more cats it would get eaten before it had a chance to die. -- Britta Check out pictures of Vino at: http://photos.yahoo.com/badwilson click on the Vino album "Marina" wrote in message ... ... than a pot of grass in the sun? http://tinyurl.com/yv23d http://tinyurl.com/2clhu and to spy on the neighbours once in a while http://tinyurl.com/38rdv -- Frankie |

Before one container is quite fully grown I start the next. This is an awfully expensive habit. It's hot here where I live too, though the grass does this year round. I myself think it's a conspiracy. ;-) ------ Krista |

How do you get the grass to grow that tall, Marina? Soncek eats it all much
sooner than that. Best wishes, -- Polonca & Soncek "Marina" wrote in message ... ... than a pot of grass in the sun? http://tinyurl.com/yv23d http://tinyurl.com/2clhu and to spy on the neighbours once in a while http://tinyurl.com/38rdv -- Frankie |

Both Marina's sunrise pic and your sunset pic are beautiful, thanks. I do
hope you do not fall and injure yourself on ice. Best wishes, -- Polonca & Soncek "CK" wrote in message ... "polonca12000" wrote How do you get the grass to grow that tall, Marina? Soncek eats it all much sooner than that. I buy it ready-grown from the shop. That was a new pot that I had just brought home. When I grow grass at home, I sow it in a much larger pot, so that at least some of it will have time to grow tall before the cats eat it. ;o) -- Marina, Frank and Nikki Email marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi Pics at http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/frankiennikki |

Thanks for the info, Marina. Unfortunately I cannot buy it already grown
here in Slovenia. Maybe in the future that will be possible. Best wishes, -- Polonca & Soncek "Marina" wrote in message ... I buy it ready-grown from the shop.
