Bonnie's rug
A couple of months back I brought a fan to cool the flat down. Got it in a shop called "Wilkinsons" and they put the box in a huge carrier bag. So a few days later we put the fan up (lots of swearing and 5 sticking plasters were involved)and the empty carrier bag was on the living room floor so I was going to pick it up and bin it....
It's still there.... Bonnie has taken a shine to it, she sleeps on it and in the morning as its next to my armchair she runs it after breakfast, plonks herself down on it and sits there looking at me and demanding her post breakfast skritchies and belly rubs. If I move it in anyway she yells at me and rearranges it, she's got it how she likes it. I once picked it up intending to bin it and she wailed so much I gave up on the idea Sarsi a couple of times when Bonnie has been elsewhere has sat on it for a few seconds but then she gets up and looks at me as if she's saying "I don't know what she sees in it- do you?" So for the foreseeable future I have a large carrier bag cluttering the living room carpet Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |

I know those carriers, a nice red I think. Whatever the reason for Bonnie's adoption of the carrier, you've got a nice red addition to you your living room carpet for as long as Bonnie wants it. I love the idea of Sarsi wondering what all the fuss is about. Luckily the carpet is red so it matches- perhaps this is yet another interior design idea from Bonnie Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |

They're just part of the overall "look" of the living room. However, neither of my cats has ever been so forceful or so *vocal* about their special item. I say "cats," but I'm really talking about Roxy here. She gets tired of them after a little while, and then it's OK for me to do whatever I'm planning to do with it (store it for later use - if Licky hasn't gotten his claws into it - or put in the recycle bin, etc.) -- Joyce Loneliness is comforted by the closeness and touch of fur to fur, skin to skin, or -- skin to fur. -- Paul Gallico |
